Seed
The bit string given as input to a pseudorandom process. Its usefulness follows from one property: different seeds produce different pseudorandom

sequences — so holding a seed fixed holds that source of variation fixed. Note what this does not promise. The source establishes the behaviour of the seed, not that an entire generation pipeline reproduces identically when other inputs change.
